48–Year History

C.W. Smith Jewelers was founded in 1957 by Charles W. Smith. A jeweler working in a local store, Smith was certain there was a better way to do business. He had a vision of offering his customers the finest quality jewelry at better prices than any of his competitors. In order to achieve this goal, Smith located his business in the village of North Fond du Lac – away from the high-priced shopping areas.

Armed with just his vision and one showcase of jewelry, Smith sold his first diamond on February 12, 1957. His location had virtually no overhead, allowing him to consistently sell the finest quality at prices his competition could not match. The motto, "Let Our Location be Your Savings," was born.

Word quickly spread about C.W. Smith Jewelers, and business began to grow.  Over the last 48 years, our store has been enlarged and our inventory has expanded, but our motto is just as true today as it was in 1957.

Today, C.W. Smith Jewelers can still be found in the same North Fond du Lac location. Our 48-year history of providing each customer with the finest quality diamonds and jewelry at the lowest possible price, all done with honesty, integrity, and the finest customer service in the jewelry industry, remains unchanged, and will remain unchanged into the future. We have been part of the local community since 1957, and you can be assured that we’ll be there to help with all your future jewelry needs.
